Oh My Sweet Carolina.

"Oh my sweet Carolina
What compels me to go?
Oh my sweet disposition
May you one day carry me home"
- Ryan Adams

Today completes day 2 1/2 in Winston-Salem.

Life here is really great so far.  I am beyond blessed by God's provision.

My roommate and a couple of Wake alums who are living and working in Winston have been so welcoming, thus far.  I am so thankful for their friendship.

It was so great to be with the whole "team"... the Teasley's, my co-intern, and myself.  I couldn't be working with a better group.

Today I spent most of the day at the lake with one of those Wake alums... we jet skied, knee boarded, tubed, and floated.  What a glorious, beautiful day.  Now, I am exhausted.

I am learning more and more about Wake students... the community here and the culture of the campus.  I am more and more excited to begin meeting students.

Tomorrow we will have our first "staff meeting".  So... I am glad to make things official.

And then... work begins Monday.  Duhduhduhhh... Preschool begins.  Apparently it is a pretty intense week of orientation for incoming Freshmen simply for campus ministries and religious organizations on campus.  It's a great time to meet freshmen and tell them about RUF.  Pray that that goes smoothly and is fruitful.

I am exhausted at the moment... and not thinking super clearly, so I will write a more thoughtful post later on... but I just wanted to give a bit of a debriefing of life so far in Winston-Salem.

Have a glorious Sabbath tomorrow, y'all!
